Made of alloy. these attatch to the front of the tank on V85. make no mistake, these make a real difference to the buffeting problem , a feature of V85s up to the new E5+ model, they have now redesigned the front of the tank in order to mitigate the issue.(someone in Noale has been listening) please see my Ad for the hight adjustable Givi airflow screen (the best) as in combo they make a really big difference.
