Moto Guzzi California Stone 1100cc, 80th Anniversary model, black. Lots of extras.

£3,995.00 Selling

Registered 18 Jan 2004 on 53 plate, but actually a 2001 model with an 80th Anniversary badge on the fuel tank.

Current mileage: 26,040. MOT until 20/09/2025.

Overall in very good condition considering it’s now 20 years old. Always stored in a heated garage and on a trickle charger. Paintwork in very good condition, with no corrosion. Chrome wheels and fittings also in good condition, with only minor pitting as to be expected for the age of the bike.

The bike rides very well, with the YSS rear suspension making it more comfortable and compliant than standard. The engine pulls like a train from any revs, and it cruises at 85mph very comfortably. New rear tyre and front/rear brake pads fitted Sept 2024 to get through an MOT.

Additional items fitted over the basic Stone specification:

  • 2nd front brake disc. This means the bike does not have the usual Guzzi-style linked brakes, with the brake lever operating both front brakes, and the foot pedal operating only the rear brake. This is much better than the standard Stone set-up, with both front brakes operating together on the front lever for more powerful braking on the front end than just 1 disc.
  • King and Queen luxury seat, with backrest for pillion.
  • Rear luggage rack and Moto Guzzi Hepco & Becker top box with locks and keys
  • Side panniers rack with Moto Guzzi Hepco & Becker panniers with locks and keys (one pannnier has a split on the bottom corner, but double-skinned so still watertight).
  • “California EV Touring fairing”, with removable laminar lip which reduces wind-buffeting around the helmet even further.
  • Adjustable brake lever (not standard on Stone specification).
  • Footboards. These are the best thing I fitted to it - much better riding position, and much more comfortable than the standard pegs.
  • YSS adjustable rear shock absorbers and springs. Much more compliant than the standard shocks, making it a much more comfortable ride than a standard Stone.
  • PPF film on fuel tank to protect paint from rubbing knees.

I am the 4th owner and have owned it since March 2012, when I bought it from another MGOC member. Detailed and regular service history available from 2007 to 2024 available upon request.

Sad to see it go, but planned change of lifestyle next year means it needs to find a new home.

Available to view in Stoke Poges, SL2, Buckinghamshire.
