2001 California 1100 Sport, current mileage 24,890 miles.

An honest bike that has clearly been looked after by the previous owner. The cosmetics are in good condition and the chrome and the alloy coatings on the engine, forks, steering yokes, final drive are all holding up well with very little corrosion. The paint is good apart from a couple of minor scratches and a rust spot coming one of the factory spot welds on the front mudguard.

I bought this bike from a Club member in April 2023, a retired engineer who had owned, serviced and maintained it since 2014. There isn’t any service history apart from old MoTs which point to through life steady use, apart a from gap between 2007-12.

During my 2 year ownership I have covered about 4,000 miles without incident. I have carried out a full service, changing all fluids (approx 1,000 miles ago), new brake pads. Valve clearances adjusted, throttle bodies balanced and slow running set up by Guzzi mechanic Baldrick. I changed out the original rear shocks for Ikon (Koni) adjustables and put on new Hepco & Becker pannier frames. I had the drivers part of the seat rebuilt with memory foam. I sourced a OE big Guzzi windscreen which is shown in one of the pictures, removable with four bolts. I have the OE rear rack and backrest. 

A very comfortable, reliable bike, that starts on demand, runs and rides very nicely - all ready to ride anywhere. MoT to September 2025.

I will be sorry to see it go, but another bike purchase means I need to free up garage room.
