1979 V50 II tracker/café racer project

Guzzi V50 Mk2 project or parts bike. Non-runner with quite a few bits missing. Plan was to make a compact V7 style tracker hence V7 seat/tank. Also comes with a custom stainless 2 into 1 header pipe, and some modern domino switchgear (as fitted to the new v7s). These parts are just placed on the bike for photographing, and would need some adapting to fit properly.

New style V5 in my name, and nice original plate included – THD 30T. Mileage showing at 36,128 miles, which is supported by a few old MOTs (the last of which was 2003/4).

What you see in the pictures is what you get, could make a nice small v7 style café racer/tracker, use as a parts bike, or even return to stock (although I think you’ll find much better original bikes on this forum!).

Electronic ignition is missing, as is the starter motor, the lights, and the instruments are cracked – hence suiting a custom project and a full rewire with a Silent Hektik ignition or similar – which is desirable on these mark IIs anyway. It’s also missing its silencers – I planned on fitting a universal megaphone to the 2 into 1.

The V7 Tank is an early plastic racer one that Guzzi wrapped in chrome, and consequently had to recall when the wrap cracked/crazed with the expansion. Would need a repaint, but I have no worries about fitting it given the same type plastic tanks were fitted to the Brevas etc without issue (I own one).

Also comes with the original seat/tank, plus a spare gearbox that I picked up just in case the gearbox proves to have any issues.

Collection from Bristol, or I may consider delivering within a reasonable distance for petrol money if selling to a club member at asking price.

Feel free to get in touch for more photos, or to ask any questions. Will list it on eBay if I don't get any interest here, as I do understand this one isn't for the purest.
