Hi Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that the ´Six Locks Ride-Out is now open for entries and we invite you and your friends to join us on this annual adventure.

The date for your diary is Sunday July 2nd 2017. Gathering around 9:00am at the Bulls Head in Wolvey, where bacon rolls (toasted teacake option), tea and coffee will be served (pre booked) prior to departure at 10:00am. From there we'll take a leisurely meander through the countryside, the ride will focus on our fascinating canal network and visit prominent sites around Warwickshire and adjoining counties.

The approximate route will be via:

* Wolvey - Hatton
* Hatton - Hillmorton
* Hillmorton - Watford (Picnic Lunch)
* Watford - Buckby
* Buckby -Market Harborough
* Market Harborough - Foxton Locks

The route distance is around 80 miles which we should be able to comfortably complete in less than 4.5 hours (2 hours 50 minutes riding time).

Breakfast roll and tea or coffee at the Bulls Head will be about £5 (subject to numbers)
There is a planned 'Bring your Own' picnic on-route, with plenty of time to enjoy your favourite sandwiches and show off that enormous hamper!

Due to limited parking at some locations, we may have to restrict the number of participants. An early response will secure a place. Just let me know by email, if you haven't already.

All the best,

Dave Wilcox
