John Maris Memorial Ride Sunday May 14th 2017 in aid of the Air Ambulance

The Warwickshire branch is holding the 9th annual memorial ride in the memory of their late friend and branch organiser ‘John Maris’. As usual this will be to The Star Pub in Stone, Staffordshire ST15 8QW (as this was the last ride John rode with the branch) on Sunday May 14th 2017. We will meet at the Shilton Arms CV7 9HX at 10:00am for a 10:30am departure.
As John was a perfectionist, for a bit of fun and added interest we hold a competition for the best Guzzi on the day. Any type of bike is welcome on the ride, but only MGCGB club members Moto Guzzis can enter the ‘Best Bike Competition’. The winner is presented with a small shield to mark the occasion. Also, their name is engraved onto a larger shield which is on display at our meeting venue.
Please note: the famous ‘Maris Chip Buttie’ will no longer be available. However, those wishing to eat can purchase food from the bar.
A small donation to take part in the ride would be appreciated and all money will be donated to the Air Ambulance. For more information contact the Warwickshire branch:

Another great JM run.
Warm welcome, great bikes showing the variety of Guzzis out there and great weather too.
Well done to the team for making it so good
Have posted a couple of pictures in general banter.
All the best
