LM I Fairing, screen and fittings

Postby Chris Markey » Mon May 14, 2018 3:27 pm

Hi, I am refurbishing my '86 V50 and was advised by Nigel Billingsley (MG guru and all round good bloke) that the old Le Mans I fairing simply bolts onto the headlamp brackets with the headlamp fitting neatly in the fairing hole. This would really finish the bike wonderfully, so I am hoping someone has a fairing, screen and fittings lurking on that shelf in the back of the garage that needs a good home. Condition and colour of the fairing don't matter since I will be matching it to the new colours, but a good screen would be a bonus! :)

I would consider that a reasonable price.

Actually in the circumstances, yes. :D

They are replicas, but very good copies, an original one would be worth a fortune, like the one I have in my shed! I have been meaning to fit it to the 950S for years and now I have decided to do so. Headlamp brackets were always the problem but I have sourced them now.

Just a thought, will the fairing fit a V50, considering that the frame and cycle parts are smaller than a Tonti framed bike? :?

I'm going to order one of Gutsibits replica Monza screen / fairing ( mine has non standard GPZ550 one after previous owner mishap)

Not cheap as noted but reassured to hear they are good quality. I suppose I will have to fabricate the support frame
