Festival of 1000 Bikes 2018

Postby guzzibrat » Tue Nov 21, 2017 12:26 am

As you may have seen elsewhere the event has been rescued by the VMCC and is back to the Festival of 1000 Bikes format.
This should improve the event over the previous couple of years.
I'm meeting with a Moto Guzzi rep at the NEC tomorrow and will be asking about support for this and other events. Fair warning their budget is limited!
All the best

My plan is afoot! Mentioned to wifey that I'd be away for the weekend so don't book any holidays. Deb's response "I'll go with you but I'm not camping".
B&B booked just down the road
See you soon

VMCC Festival of 1000 Bikes.

Postby guzzibrat » Fri Dec 15, 2017 7:48 pm

Hi Team,
An important message from the legendary Alan Richards with reference to the event.
estival of 1000 Bikes 6/7/8th of July 2018 http://www.festivalof1000bikes.co.uk/
The event is back in the hands of the Vintage Motorcycle Club and returns to the previous format.
We will have our marquee hopefully in our usual spot in the avenue of clubs.
We need volunteers to display bikes in the marquee (old and modern) and help with hospitality.
Anyone wishing to do track session(s) on a road bike on Saturday or a race bike on Sunday can get entry forms direct from VMCC website or me.
We will also be hosting our world famous Chinese meal on Saturday evening.
All displayers will get a free weekend pass, we will have some for helpers etc. but we don't know exactly how many.
All those taking part in track sessions get 2 weekend passes all passes include camping. We have also been able negotiate a number of discount passes in the past.

Is there a link to the entry form? I've been on the VMCC website and can't see how to get entry forms, even through the Members Area bit.

The Bike Bonanza references are a result of merging the two topics. I've changed the header to make it a bit easier.
Hopefully won't be too confusing for readers.
